“This was a really practical and hands on day, the section on thinking like a designer really made me understand how to use my slides to help me and my audience. Iʼve become a born again presenter who will now probably annoy the rest of my team as I tell them to lose the bullet points”

storytelling for powerful presentations

This course is shaped to give you the specific skills required to create and deliver great stories.

Storytelling enables people to reflect, imagine and create new thoughts. As human beings we survive and develop through story. It’s not by accident that the film, television and the publishing industry continue to thrive whatever the economic situation. It’s also why we gossip; we are making stories to live by.

However large your audience, this course has been created to enable you to take people on a journey they won't forget.

The day is designed for anyone who has to influence others through presentation or public speaking.

Whether it’s a presentation, a keynote speech or addressing your team for a weekly catch up, utilising story structure will grab your audience’s attention from the start.

Story Creation for Powerful Presentations Course looks at all the tools and techniques used for thousands of years to create compelling stories to engage your audience.

We explore the process of taking factual, analytical and data driven information, often found in dense presentations, and look at many different ways to communicate that information so that the listeners have an emotional response to what it all ultimately means.

Before we begin working with you we like to have a conversation about your role, needs, expectations, your current challenges are and most importantly what you hope to achieve from the course.

Storytelling & Story Creation courses are designed to equip delegates with techniques to:

  • Understand and use story structure
  • Turn data to meaning
  • Harness the power of disclosure
  • Use effective metaphors and analogies
  • Understand narrative
  • Create meaning
  • Appreciate story themes
  • Returning ideas

We know that skills develop with time - that's why we continue to offer you support after we've worked together. We see it as our responsibility to your ongoing development as a presenter.

So whether you want to send us through a video of your last presentation to get our view or want design tips on your latest slide-deck, we will always be just a phone call or email away for advice. You'll also be first on our list for any promotions or free events we have coming up.
